Happy Chick

I want to be a businessman, and I feel like this is what I need in my life. I mean, a chick farm is not something that is easy to handle, but it sounds great. I need to start doing things that will allow me to make progress like nothing before. I want to start a company that can help me provide for my family. It is not going to be easy, that is for sure, but it is what I want to do.
AJ's happy Chick farm is a small family-owned sustainable mixed farm and animal sanctuary in the NEK. specializing in canned goods, artisan garlic, organic maple syrup, fiber products, and a variety of fruits and vegetables when in season. We have a flock of registered Finn sheep (lambs will be certified organic) for fiber and meat in addition to being registered breeders of Maremma LGD in the MSCA. We will be offering the occasional certified organic calf starting 2023. Certified organic hay available. We welcome all for a visit to our farmstand open in the late spring to early fall to have a tasty treat and pet something cute.
My one complaint is that the spicy versions of their fare had me wondering if I had been mis-served because there was nary a flicker or reddening of heat on my orders. Perhaps my tongue is as dead as I am inside, but having fought to the eternal darkness with a spicy chicken tender at Tumble 22, these Happy Chicks need to get Angry. Something else to consider is that the bright and cheery indoor space is tiny with a mere four tables, which can be eaten up with folks waiting for to-go orders (note that to-go orders can take a wee bit since the chicken is fried fresh). There is plenty of outdoor seating, but that is challenging during rains and blistering summers. Nonetheless, the two rainy days I went, I was able to find a place to sit indoors despite the busy-ness.
Because of the potential for monetary losses, big commercial farms, companies like Southern Cross Poultry require their employees to follow a list of biosecurity measures. This could mean anything from wearing coveralls and shoe covers to changing clothes, shoes and gloves before and after entering a chicken house. This also means visitors from outside the company are often not allowed inside.
Sherry Lim, a backyard farm educator in Bexar County, advises chicken owners to wash their boots, at least partially cover their coops and quarantine chickens for at least 20 days if they are looking sick.
Several times a month, Lim hosts classes on chicken care. One of the biggest discussions is about diseases, including avian flu. Most attendees ask a lot about how to protect their chickens and how to notice an infected bird, she said.
Lim tells them that most sick chickens will be lethargic with a twisted neck and paralysis. These symptoms are also prevalent in other diseases, so Lim said to quarantine the chicken no matter what if possible. This could save the other chickens from infection, but since the flu is so contagious, the disease could have already spread. In that case, the birds should be culled and the farm decontaminated before bringing in new chickens.
Happy Chicks Austin is one of the many go to spots in Austin and serves perfectly cooked fried chicken. They make their signature 15 sauces fresh every day that allows for limitless flavor combinations that pair perfectly with their widely loved chicken. (And equally as good vegan option!)
Established in late 2017, Happy Chicks has since paved their way to be one of the best chicken-based restaurants in Austin. Its casual yet trendy environment makes it the perfect place to sit down and enjoy some top-notch chicken.
The Happy Chicks menu is simple, but still has enough options that everyone will have something to enjoy. Their menu (obviously) is centered around chicken and offers different crispy chicken tender combos, wraps, sandwiches, and of course chicken nuggets, all of which range from around $8 to $17.
You of course will need sides to go with the chicken (that is a must), and you can get a full tray of bacon mac and cheese or roasted cream corn for $90, or a full tray of french fries for $60. They also offer half trays and individual servings so you can get the perfect amount for the size of your party.
Whether you like spicy or sweet, nuggets or tenders, or even chicken or vegan, Happy Chicks is a fail-safe option for delectable food. With so many different sauces, sides, and drinks to choose from, Happy Chicks will keep you coming back to try them all.
Long, long ago, in the ancient Mediterranean, someone, some anonymous HERO, decided to smash up some chickpeas and BOOM. The art of eating hummus was born. (or is it birthed? Idk, but if we knew the exact date this happened I would celebrate it.)
